Dream Theater keyboardist Jordan Rudess gives us an overview about the Roland JUPITER-80 Synthesizer and Synth Legends Volume 1.

The Jupiter Synth Legends is a series of free sound libraries for the JUPITER-80 and JUPITER-50 synthesizers. The collection features all-new tones, live sets, arpeggio patterns. It also uses SuperNATURAL sound engine which provides a number of historical synth sounds.

Check out the video below as Jordan Rudess shreds the keys of the synth. Cool!

The synth emulations included are:
JUPITER-8 (1981)

TB-303 (1982)
JUNO-60 (1982)

These classic synths each have between 10 and 20 iconic factory preset sounds that distinguish its character, and they’re all represented among 123 newly created single Tones for the JUPITER-80/-50.

Got something to say, human?
